Mr F. W. H. Frankland is the newlv appointed Foxton agent for the South British Insurance Co. The citizens of Wellington are presenting Mr J. G. W. Aitken, with ai gold watch and chain. The largest estate of a deceased person certified to by the Secretary for Stamn«f during the past month was that Mr John Ross, of Dunedin, at u'QC time of Wellington. The amount on' which probate was paid was £85,084. ,
