London, Sept. 21The Liverpool Post publishes a cable from Mr E. G. Jeliicoe contain* ing statements as to the condition ot Australia similar to those made to an Australian interviewer on Monday* Mr Coghlan (Agent-General for New South Wales), in a letter to the Post, protests against such fantastic statements and contends that those in want of employment are only three per cert of the bread-winners, which is singularly favourable and a much lower proportion than in America or Liverpool. He denies that Australia is being denuded of population, stating there is only migration from one Stale to another, really a healthy sign of the return of the people to the land. All States are trying their utmost to attract population.
