Goulbourn-Sydney Cycle Race.

Sydney, September 16. The Goulburn to Sydney cycle road race was won by W. Robinson. The New .Zealanders were unpla'cfed. Of 103 acceptors eighty-seven Started, including twelve New Zealanders. The Weather was fine and the roads, good. The arrangements for refreshments for competitors were excellent. Large crowds watched the progress of the race at various stages •1 the route. Robinson, ot Cooma, the winner, ‘With ssmias start, covered thejourney of 131 miles in 6hrs 41 mins, actual riding time. Ha got in front between Mosavale and Picton, and held the lead to the finish. The scratch men v/ere never dangerous, the long markers having the race in hand before the final stages were reached. J, Arnst, ot New Zealand, wliq finished fifteenth, made the fastest time, 6brs 35imi.11, lowering record for the journey by aiming, No other New Zealanders were prominent at the finish.
