From Wanganui Education Board, with reference to scheme to nromote throughout the district a greater interest, in agriculture and dairying pursuits.—The chairman thought the idea was a very good one, and said that the Council should consider the advisability of instituting a scholarship of £4O a year tenable for three years at Lincoln Coliege, to be open to the sons of settlers in the Coil.nty. He thought it hardly fair for the Council to subscribe to the cost, as tedhlUCW education in towns was free, —Chair* man to attend to matter.

In connection'with the cutting up of r&ads by narrow tyres the Clerk had instructions to write Messrs Adsett land Baigebt, Oroua Bridge, stating that unless 8 or g inch tyres were used on waggons their license would be suspended. .
