CONFERENCE AT CAPETOWN. The British Association has opened its conference at Capetown. The President, Mr Francis Darwin, sketched the attempts made to formulate an evolutionary speculation with special reference to the principle of natural selection. [At its last conference the British Association agreed to meet in 1905 at Victoria Falls, on the Zambesi River.]
