A case in which a young man was charged with being drunk in Main Street on Wednesday night was called on in the Police Court on Thursday. Owing to the shortness of time the police asked for an adjournment, to enable evidence to be obtained, and defendant, who denied the soft impeachment, agreed to let the matter stand over til! next court day.
