MR JOHN STEVENS’ CANDIDATURE. [By Telegraph—Special to Hekard.] Marton, This Day. A number of Mr John Stevens’ political supporters met in the Council Chambers at Marton on Friday evening and discussed the coming election campaign and formed themselves into a working qommittee. Mr A. Y. Mcßeath was elected chairman, and Mr E. Reid secretary and treasurer. The committee have determined to work actively in the interests ol the part}' which their candidate represents.
