Mr 0. Gardiner is spending a day or two in the district. Mr F. W. Frankland left for Merton this afternoon. He speaks at that town to-morrow evening.

Among the visitor-, last evening in Foxton were Messrs John Stevens, W. C. Nation, Oswald Gardiner, B. R. Gardiner, John Davies, Donald Fraser, and J. R. Stamell.

Messrs Moss, Lang, Willis. Symes, Reid and Vile were the M.’sH.R. who remaned in Foxton to-day. They visited the wharf and were driven to the beach to inspect the Heads railway route.
