PORT OF FOXTON. Owing to the heavy westerly gale run* ning during (he past few days the Queen of the South aad Himatangi have been detained in port. High Water at Mamawatw Bar.
FOXTON POST OFFICEThe letter box will be cleared for despatch of correspondence from this office to the under mentioned places, 3s follows: For Himatangl, Oroua Bridge, Palmerston North, Wanganui and North at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2.45 p.m.; Sunday, S p.m. Moutoa, Shannon and Wellington, daily at 2.15 p.m. Shannon, Levin and Wellington, daily, at 2.1$ and 8 p.m. Receiving Box cleared daily, (Sundays excepted), 8.20 a.m., and 2.10 p.m. N.B.—Letters containing anything of value should be banded to the Postmaster to be registered. Letters containing coin, if nested ucregistered, will be compulsorily registered and charged double registration fee. A. D. Clemett, Postmaster.
