From there they will be driven to connect with the present tramway, which will convey them to Foxton, which will be reached in the evening. It is proposed' to invite members oflocal bodies and prominent residents in the districts interested to meet the legislators in Foxton, to place their views before them. Mr McKkn zip will he in Foxton to-morrow in connection with the matter, and it is nis intention to interview as many as possible of the representatives of the Borough Council and Chamber of Commerce to make arrang-unents lor the visit of the Parliamentarians. He suggc-Gs th .t iiu.v sh ell ; be suitably entertained while in Foxton, and at the meeting all information available could be placed before them as well as the individual views of residents. This proposilion seems a good one, and we would urge all interested to lend every assistance in forwarding the matter. The importance of tins line has been too often urged to need recapitulation here, and it would be greatly to be deplored if coldness on the part of Foxton people were allowed to militate against the fresh effort now being made.
