The attends tied ill life above function Otl ThUfsday evening must have been extremely gratifying to Rev. Featherston and his band of willing workers. Mr Westwood , one of the Methodist pioneers, was voted to the chair, and under his presidency a thoroughly enjoyable evening was spent. The soloists were Mesdames Speifs and Ciemett, Misses Spring, Simpsom and Robinson, and Messrs Harper Hickson and Rev. Spsirs, who also gave a short address. Two company songs were well received, as were also the pianoforte selections rendered by Mieses Furrie, Cooper and Jenks. The accompaniments were played by Misses Furrie and Cooper and Mr Cannell. During an interval ample justice was meted out to an abundant supply of refreshments supplied by the ladies of the church. A comprehensive vote of thanks to the chairman, performers, and workers in general proposed by Mr Featherston was heartly given and terminated an enjoyable gathering.
