Class-rooms are crowded to such an extent that children have to be taken out into the shelter sheds for lessons, thus disorganising the teaching staff aud interfering with the comfort of the children. Parents are required to send their children to school, and in the absence of proper accommodation many do not care to subject hoys and girls of delicate constitutions to the risks attaching to attendance under such circumstances; yet unless they are Prepared to defy the law thev have no a teruative. Strong resolutions from a well-attended meeting of householders would no doubt strengthen the hands of the committee in asking for a new building—no amount of patching can effect any real good—and it is imperative that something should be done at once.
