Foxton Literary and Debating Society.

The ordinary meeting o'( tlii* society was held last Motiday evening in Mr Modre’s rooms. Mr W. Barnard carried od£ the duties' of cHafritian. Before the meeting dosed, Mr. Hill presented the report from the committee set up to inquire into the advisability of engaging rooms and forming a social chib in connection with the society. Alter some discussion it was decided to call a special minting'and discuss the matter fully. Two gentleman were nominated as desnousot becoming members of the society. .
