OPENING ON TUESDAY,

Parliament was opened in due form by his Excellency the Governor on Tuesday. After the delivery of the Governor’s Speech references were made in botli Houses to the death of Sir Alfred Cadman, M.L.C., and Mr George Fisher, M.H.R., and an adjournment was made till next day. Mr Flatman moved the Adress-in-Reply to the Speech, which the Premier hopes to dispose of before bringing down the Imprest Supply Bill. The Address-in-Reply was moved yesterday in the House by Mr Flatman, and the debate continued till 10.45 P-m., when the adjournment was taken.
