TO THU BDITOR OF THE MANAWATU JURAL! . Sir, —On walking down Main stree t I noticed a bouse being built of white pine limber. Now this is a thing f wanted to do myself some time ago, but a carpenter told me that I could not use white pine timber in Foxton. I went and asked Mr Fraser, th Town Clerk, and he at onc» turned m the bye-law, read it to m-', and told me that I could not build of white pine. Mr Editor, can yon tell me who gave permission to build this place out of white pine in the Main street ? Thanking you in anticination, —I am, etc., Treat all Alike.
