FORT OF FOXTON.
The Putiki reached New Plymouth at 7.50 a.rn. to day, having passed here owing to the rough water on the bar. The Queen of the South arrived yesterday from Poponga, with coal, and is loading hemp, etc., to-day for Wellington. The Moa got away at n a.m. to-day lor Westport. The Baden Powell leaves for Lyttelton to-day.

The letter Wax will be cleared for despatch of correspondence from this office to the under mentioned places, as follows; * For Hiniatangi, Oroua J3ridge, Palmerston North, Wanganui and North at .8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2.45 p.m.; Sunday, 8 p.m. Moutoa, Shannon and Wellington, daily at 2.15 p.m. Shannon, Levin and Wellington, daily, at 2.15 and 8 p.m. Receiving Box cleared daily, (Sundays excepted), 8.20 a.m., and 2.10 p.m. N.B.—Letters containing anything of value should be handed to the Postmaster to be registered. Letters containing coin, if nested unregistered, will be compulsorily registered and charged double registration fee. A. D. Clemett, Postmaster.
