The police recommended additions to Manawatu and Family Hotels, Foxton, ot eight rooms to each, and that a wash-house be erected at the Family Hotel. The Chairman said the committee considered the time was inopportune in demanding these additions. They were satisfied increased accommodation was required, but they had decided to defer this matter until after 'ocal option vote in December. It would be putting the licensees to unnecessary expense if no license was carried. In the event of the poll being in favour of continuance the committee would insist upon the im prtvements asked for by Constable Whitehouse.
