The Sasanami’s officer states that the destroyer Bildovy when overtaken by the Japanese, boisted the white flag with the red ' cross, an<l signalled that Rozhdestvensky and his staff were aboard. Whv.n the suprised and overjoyed ■ Japanese boarded the vessel, th« • Ri/saian officers were found grouped 9Vonnd Admiral Rozhdestvensky, who was lying in a pool of blood on the bottom of the destroyer, in an almost unconscious state. ‘ The officers pathetically appealed to the Japanese not to remove the Admiral lest his wounds should re-open. The Japanese consented, and at the risk of recapture towed the Bildovy to Sasebo. The Japanese have telegraphed to Madame Rodhdestvensky that her husbands wounds are healing rapidly.
