Rifle Club.
A meeting of members of the Foxton Rifle Club was held on Thursday evening, Captain Austin presiding. It was decided that nominations for cup and trophy competitions close on Thursday next, Bth June, the ranges being sou, 300, and 500 yards. Prizes (donated were allocated as follows s'irst, Mrs *l. Haywood ; second, Messrs A. S. Patterson and C 0.,; third, Messrs Osborne and Baker. Mr L. Fnrrie was elected an honorary member of the club.
