'The South Australian elections have resulted disastrously for the Government. The Committee of-the Winter Show to be held at Palmerston North from 20th to 23rd inst. forwards the usual complimentary ticket for a Herald representative. A novelty is being introduced tor the Winter Show at Palmerston North, in the form of a Hunter’s Competition for Horses that have not won a prize to be held on Wednesday afternoon, June 21st. The prizes allotted for this event are; ist£io; 2nd £5; 3rd, £2. The jumps will besimilar to those used at the Spring Show, excepting that the water and double are excluded. There is every reason to anticipate a good entry.
