REPORT OF A RUSSIAN LAND VICTORY. WORK AT SEA- " London, General Mistchenko, the leader, after a four days’ reconnaissance* on the Japanese flank, retired on Mon--" day twenty miles to the north-west. Advices from St. Petersburg are to the effect that General -Rennenkampf severely defeated the Japanese, attacking an unnamed position. Several hundred casualties are reported but details have been censored. General Linevitch demands the recall of General Kuropatkin,
