CONCERT.
The nnpropitions weather of yesteiday militated considerably against the concert given by the Shannon Musi cal Combination in the Public Hall last evening. A lengthy programme was submitted, and a high degree oi efficiency maintained. It is a matter for regret that concerts of this class are not more appreciated. If tne audience showed special preference for any items thev were those rendered by Gladys and Martha Gilmonr, two little tots who well deserved tlm repeated encores they received. The Rev. Featherston occupied the chair. The programme was as follows First part March,” Mrs Hawson, Misses Butt and Haddrell: anthem, “Exalt Him,” Company : duet, “ Little Feat be Careful." Gladys and Martha Gilmour, encored ; solo, “ Dream of Paradise,” Mrs Gilmonr; duet, “100 Late,” Mrs Carter and Miss Patterson; anthem, “Hear Me Jehovah ”; solo, “ Abide with me." Miss Jennie Lassie ; duet, “Noctrine,” Misdames Gilmaur and Hawson ; solo, “ The New Kingdom,” Mrs Norman; trio, “The Wreath,” Mesdames Gilmour, Hawson and Mr A. Saunders; anthem, “Consider the Lilies.” Second part; Instrumentaloverture, Misses Butt and Haddrell; anthem, “How Excellent”; duet, “In the Dusk of the Twilight” Mesdames Gilmonr and Hawson; recitation, Gladys Gilmonr (encored) ; duet, “Excelsior,” Mrs Gilmour and Mr A.
