Messrs Dalgety & Ca’s, Report,
Messrs Dalgety and Co., have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated 10th inst: —Prices for frozen beef ai’e steady. Frozen mutton, if heavier than 60lbs, prices are firm. Prices for frozen mutton in general are lower by l-Bth to ald per lb. Wool sales continue active, competition is brisk and the buying is general from all quarters. American buyers are operating freely. Prices are on the average higher than closing rates of last series, as follows : Good Merino wools, greasy, 10 per cent. Other descriptions Merino wool, 5 per cent; fine and medium crossbreds 15 to 20 per cent; coarse or ssbreds. 10 per cent ; tallow (low and inferior descriptions) prices are unchanged. Other descriptions are lower by 3d. Messrs Wyatt Clark & Co. Messrs Wyatt Clark and Co. report that at their initial sale on Saturday last a quantity of sundries was sold out completely at good prices, and a consignment of pictures (New Zealand and English scenes, byßollason) realised satisfactory rates. During the week several sales of property have been arranged.
