Policing The Sea.
AMERICA AND ENGLAND. BEDFORD ON TOGO. New York, May 11 . Admiral Lord Charles Beresford, interviewed at New York, declared that the Anglo-American friendship only needed an agreement of some kind to cement it into coalition. He dilated on the possibility of * combined plan to police the sjea in order to prevent such dreadful carnage as had been witnessed in the Far East.
His Lordship, referring to the liusso- Japanese war, opined that Admiral Togo would win the approaching sea fight owing to superior gunnery.
