WOOL, SKIN, AND HIDE SALE. Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd, report, under date of April 28th We offered to-day 25 bales of wool, 2,000 sheepskins, 300 hides, and a quantity of tallow. Prices were very (inn at recent quotations and all lots met with good competition. We quote: Sheepskins—Merinos 6Jd to ltd per lb, halfbreds yd to 7.U1, fine crossbreds 6:|d to yld, coarse 6kl to yd, dead qjd to sk!, short wools 5d to 6Jd, lamb skins 6.|d to yd, butchers’ green up to 4s 6d, do lamb skins up to od. Tallow—ln casks lys gd, tins 16s, rough fat 14s. Hides were in excellent demand, cows light 12s 3d to 15s 6d. Medium 16s to 18s, heavy to 20s 6d, ox light i6a to2is, medium 22s to 263. HOME MARKETS. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegrams from their London office, dated 2yth inst : Frozen lamb and beef.—Prices are unchanged. Prices for frozen mutton in general, since our last telegram are higher by Danish Butter.—Since our last telegram prices are lower by 4 kroner (about 4s 3d) per cwl. Consequently we expect a further decline in prices for Australian butter.” AGENT-GENERAL’S REPORT. PRICE OF FLAX.
