JEWS TERRORISED. PEASANTS’ DEBTS CANCELLED BY GOVERNMENT, St, Petersburg, April 30. Tire Cossacks at Bailystok are terrorising the Jews, beating men, women and children even in th® synagogue. The police are powerless tc quell the disturbances. _ The Jewish hospital is full Of wounded. An Imperial ukase cancels _ the peasants’ debts, seventy-five million roubles in value, to the Russian Government. These were due to bad harvests since 1557.
