'THE -SYDNEY MEETING. Sydney, April 22. At the amateur athletic meeting here to-day, in the three-mile handicap, Shrubb, allowing Morgan 48,0yds start, beat him by 350yds. Time, 14mm 54 3-ssec. There was a fair attendance at the •"above sports held yesterday, and the events were got through without a hitch. Mr J. Smith, the energetic secretary, assisted by a general committee deserve great praise for the manner in which the programme was carried out. The refreshment booth, which was wed patronised, was in the capable hands of Mesdames Hook, Daherty and Hemmingson, who were untiring in their efforts to satisfy everybody.
