PORT OF FOXTON. The Gertie left Westport for Foxton at 10.55 this morning. The Himitangi, from Foxton, reached Port Robinson, via Pigeon Bay (Banks Peninsula) at 6.30 yesterday morning. High Water at M \nawatu Bar.
FOXTON POST OFFICEThe letter box will be cleared for despatch of correspondence from this office to the under mentioned places, as iollows: For Himatangi, Oroua Bridge, Pal* merston North, Wanganui and North at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday st 2.45 p.m.; Sunday, 8 p.m. Moutoa, Shannon and Wellington, daily at 2.15 p.m. Shannon, Levin and Wellington, daily, at 2.15 and 8 p.m. Receiving Box cleared daily, (Sundays excepted), 8.20 a.m., and 2.10 p.m. N.B.—Letters containing anything of value should be handed to the Postmaster to be registered. Letters containing coin, if posted unregistered, will be compulsorily registered and charged double registration fee. EASTER HOLIDAYS. Good Friday, the 21st inst will be observed as a close holiday. On Easter Monday, 24th the Office will open in all branches except money orders and saving bank from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Mails usually despatched on Friday will close at 8 p.m. on Thursday night, and mail# usually despatched on Mondays will close on Sunday night at 8 P- m ‘ No delivery by letter carrier will be made on Easter Monday.
