The ‘'Times” scribe, writing on an incident at the Oeo races last week, says “ Geech, who rode St. Myra, had a lively five minutes after the Forced. His action in getting hold of Singleshot’s rein, and pulling him back when in the straight, was resented; As soon as the mare pulled up, GeSch Was suddenly dragged off, the saddle being partly pulled round with him. They were not particular whether he landed on his head or feet, as one foot was in (he stirrup and his head near the ground, while the mare did not know what to do. The excitement for a few Minutes was keen, and it looked as if the horseman (?) was going to get the deserts such contemptible action warranted. How* aver, the stern arm of the law stepped in and dispersed the crowd, while the jock sought refuge in the tent, when the stewards soon sat in judgment on him. He tried to convince them that the two horses got tangled, but one of the stewards rightly remarked, ‘ Surely We dan believe our own eyes ! ’ The next time this horsey man goes to Oeo he will be well watched.”
