General Sakharoff reports that the Japanese captured Berseneff Hill at the bayonet point, advancing over the bodies of their own dead and exploding surface mines, and under barbed w>re entanglements. The Japanese losses were considerable, but the Russian losses have not yet been ascertained. The attack on Tasyhng Pass was repulsed.
