DESTRUCTIVE FIRE. NEW YORK, Feb. 26,
Eighteen blocks of buildings have been burnt at Hot Springs, Arkansas, including three churches. A number of persons were killed, two thousand being rendered homeless. The damage is estimated at one million and a half dollars. BETROTHED. LONDON, Feb. 26. Princess Margaret, eldest daughter of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught, has been betrothed to Oscar, eldest son of the Crown Prince of Sweden. DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF A ■ WIFE. The Aylesbury Dairy Company’s appeal case was dismissed with costs, although the judges declared tha there are no grounds for reflection on the Company. The case was one in which a resident of Ealing secured £lO6 damages for the loss of his wife from typhoid.
