Skins sold at last sale rales and there was a strong demand for short wools and pelfs. We quote — Merinos, 6-Jd to yd ; halfbred=, yd to y.Vd; fine crossbreds, yd toyAd ; coarse, 6Jd to yd; dead skins, 3d to jfd; short wools. 3d to 5-Jd; lamb skins, yd toy}d; lambs, green, 2s nd to 3s 3d each, pelts, green. 2s id to 3s 2d. Tallow. —Prices unchanged. Casks, lys to lys fid; tins, ids; rough fat, 14s. Hides. —There was keen competition for all lots, and prices advanced for the best hides is fid per hide. Cows, light, 12s to 15s; medium, 13s to i3s 6d: heavy, to 21s fid. Ox, light, 20s to 21R ; medium, 21s to 25s fid ; heavy, 2ys fid. Wellington, 24th Feb., 1905.
