THE COMMITTEE IN ACTION
The Water Supply Committee elected by the rate-payers on Wednesday night", inspected the locality proposed for the erection ol the necessary works on Thursday aitcruoon. A meeting of the committee was held in Mr Moore’s oflice last evening, when the question was fully Mi.scussod, and different proposals gone into. It wa.a finally decided that a preliminary tfecomincadatiou as to an estimate for a trial bore at the looi ol the hill near the mWay-hne should bo submitted to the Conned a! its nm:l meeting. The details of the. recommendation will he published when submitted to the Council.
