Police v. J. Wilson. On two counts of procuring liquor while prohibited. Fined £lO on each charge, or thre e months.
Police v. F. Taylor. Procuring liquer for prohibited person. Fined £zos, costs 14s. Police v. G. Alexander. Procuring liquor for prohibited person. Fined 20s, costs 14s. Lydia Hoskings for assault was fined 10s, costs 2 is. For permitting a bull to wander, P. Neylon was fined 10s and costs 7s. For driving a cart without lights, a first offender was fined 5s and costs 7s. W. King, for riding a bicycle without lights, was fined 5s and costs 7s. CIVIL. Motoa Estate v. Pearce. In this a counter claim, Pearce was given judgment for £B, the value of a missing bullock. M. Hamer v. J. Robertson. Judgment for Bs, and 9s costs. P. Hennessy v. Chas. Bushett. Judgment for £6 4s 4d and costs 17s. Cummerfield and ■ Spring v. E. S. De Bidder. Judgment for £g 5s nd, 8s costs. Easton and Austin v. C. T. Easton, Claim for £gg 3s 4d, value of sheep. Adjourned till next Court day. Costs aggregating £1 ns 6d were allowed plaintiff. Borough Council v. R. Gray. Defendant put in a counter claim, but was nonsuited with costs £1 is. OLD AGE PENSIONS. Sarah M. Collins (£10) and Fredk. Taylor (£18) were granted old age pensions. ADOPTION ORDER. Mr and Mrs H. Carpenter were granted an order to adopt Leslie Allan Watkins.
