Foxton Rowing Club.
A meeting of the committee of th# above Club was held in the Secretary's Office on Thursday evening, ana was attended by Capt. Gower (in the chair), and Messrs Healey, Fume and Moore (secretary). Correspondence was dealt with ana other formal business transacted. A letter was read from the Wanganui Rowing Association relative to fees, whilst a newh-formed Club at Greymouth wrote re boats for disposal,—lt was decided that the fees owing the Wanganui Association be paid, and that the Club resign from* connection with that body. Also that the secretary write to the GreymoutQ Club stating the club had no boats for A price was received from Mr A. Joason, of £s, tor repairing and cleaning boats, but it was decided to invite fresh tenders. A petition from a number of members for a reduction of the subscription to xos 6d was considered, and after some discussion the reduction was decided on by a majority, the captain dissenting, . It was decided to hold a meeting at an early date to consider a report as to certain persons who were not members having made use of the Club’s boats and shed. One new member (F. Collins) was elected, Mr Moore stated that he had nothing to do with the editorials appearing in the paper relating to the Club. It appeared that some persons were under the impression that he wrote them, but as a matter of fact he did not write for the Herald. Votes of thanks to the chair and also to Mr Moore for the use ot the room concluded the meeting-
