The winter pastime is likely to start much earlier this year than heretofore, on account of the visit of the New Zealanders to the Home land. Hence, if Foxtou wish to associate themselves with one of the larger Unions, it behoves tha different clubs to hold their annual meetings as soon as possible and decide the question of affiliatida. fire Manawatu Rugby Union will be holding their annual meeting in March, and a start will be made with Cup matches almost immediately afterwards. Manawatu have some important rep fixtures this season, included in which is a probable Southern tour, so should Foxton wish to get any representatives in the travelling team, they should bestir themselves at once by calling meetings of the different Clubs and decide without delay to join the Manawatu body. Let us hear of the Awahou Club leading off,
