Manawatu Herald. TUESDAY, FEB. 14, 1905. Public Meeting.

At the request of a large number of ratepayers, the Mayor (Mr G. A. Simpson) has called a public meeting for Tuesday next, Feb. 21st, at 8 p.m., in the Fublic Hall, when Municipal matters will be fully discussed. We hope to record a large attendance. Foxton Borough can well do with some signs of progress and enterprise. The matter of an efficient Water-supply, fire-brigade, and the thorough lighting of the town will probably be gone into, and it behoves all those who have an interest in the town to put in an appearance and thus lend a helping hand to its progress. There are many works needed, but some especially so, and we hope to note that these necessities will be supplied with as little delay as possible.
