Foxton Rifle Club.

The above Club met at the Post Office Hotel on Thursday evening, Mr Q. Gray in the chair. It was decided that the challenge of the Himatangi Rifle Club be accepted, and the match is taking place to-day. The members of the Foxton Club entertained the visitors at lunch prior to the commencement. The secretary was instructed to write to the Colonial Ammunition Co. stating that the Club cannot see their way clear to pay the price asked for rifles, at present, A vote of thanks was accorded Captain Mounsey for his letter re Defence Club. Votes of thanks for the use of the room and to the chair concluded the meeting. -
