Poor and mean as oiir lives may be in the opinion of certain bilious pessimists, the majoiity find life eminently worth living, and make a gallant fight for it accordingly. This was what a woman did, whose brief account of her struggles I now submit to you. And lam glad to say she came out of it a Clear v/innet.

Mrs Rose Lvnfch, who lives at No. 15, Morton Place' Carlton, Melbourne, is (he picture of health to-day* She and her husband formerly kept a dairy farm in Gippsfand. In a letter addressed, on January nth, 1904, to the proprietors of Mother Scigel’s remedies, she said : “ For a very long period my life was made very wretched h. v chronic indigestion. My food seemed to stick half-way down in a hard lump, causing great pain and distress in the chest. I could keep nothing in my stomach, and suffered extremely from headaches, giddiness, and general debility. I tried many remedies, but none appeared to suit mv ca?e. As time went on, and my sufferings increased I became low spirited and despondent. I was then living in Gippsland, and about four years and six months back, when visit ing my brother-in-law, at Yarragon, in turning over the contents of a chest I came across a half-emptied bottle of Mother Seigel’s Syrup. “At first, on noticing the word ‘Synm’ on the label, I thought it was a child’s medicine, but, looking closer, I saw it was intended to cure indigestion. I had the disease in a very acute form at the time, so I thought I would Irva dose of the Syrup. The effect was magical, for it gave me immediate ■■■i lief. I continued to take it, gaining in health, strength, and cheerfulness all the while, until the bottle was emptied. Then I obtained some more bom the store.

“ Mv improvement was rapid, steady, and permanent. Very soon every svmpton of indigestion left me, and my health was completely restored. Now I can eat well, sleep well, and work well, and I never know what it is to fi;-1 depressed or in low spirits, and all <i;is is due entirely to Mother Seigel’s Syrup. My own experience shows elcarly that your wonderful remedy will prove a blessing to all those who sutler from indigestion.”

How I should enjoy standing before a great audience, and, with Mrs Lynch’s letter as a (ext, preaching a lay sermon on (he facts mentioned in it. But in the absence of such a comment, I urge vnu to rend and re rend the letter; for here you have a typical instance of what is happening to the people, and a proof of what can be done to save them. We see that a winning battle can be made for life and health in the face of doubt and discouragement, and after the failure of other treatment.
