Band Matters.

Some weeks ago we mooted the idea of holding a Bazaar to obtain funds for the Borough Brass Band, and we are pleased to note that Band members are seriously thinking of acting on the proposal. This Band matter is one which concerns the whole town. The instruments, uniforms, etc., are the property of the Borough, and why should they not be responsible for their upkeep. Something over £IOO is still required to clear the Band from debt, and it remains for townspeople to do their duty and help this musical institution (who are ever willing to assist at any public benefit) to clear themselves from liability. Let us hope the Band will take the initial step, and form themselves into a committee, when we have no doubt that the ladies of the town will join in and assist the movement.
