Foxton Rifle Club.

The above Club met at the Post Office Hotel on Tuesday night, when Mr G. Gray was voted to the chair. It was proposed by the chairman, and seconded by Mr Nye, That the secretary write to Mr Mounsey and ask him to use his influence re getting a defence rifle club in Foxton, Resolved, That the scratch match start at 2 p.rn. on Boxing Day, the ranges to be 200 and 300 _ yards. Also that members subscriptions be handed in to the secretary before being allowed to compete. A vote of thanks was accorded Captain 0. Austin for supplying ammunition, which can be obtained from E. Howe. Votes of thanks to the chairman, and to their host for the use of the room, concluded the meeting,
