Rifle Club Meeting.
At a meeting held at the Post Office Hotel last night for the pur. pose of forming a Rifle Club, Mr £. Howe was voted to the chair. It was resolved to form a Rifle Club, the following having handed in their names as willing to join:— M. Newtb, C. Rand, G. Walsh, W. Nye, P. Martin, E. Howe, G. Gray, J. Jillett, G. H. Stiles, E. Ball, 0. Austin, and 0. Morgan. It was resolved to fix the yearly subscription at 5s each member, and that Mr 0. Austin 4>e elected Captain of the Club. Mr E. Howe was elected Secretary. The following were elected on a Committee, pro tom :—O. Austin, M. Newtb, C. Ram), G. Walsh, W. Nye, E. Howe, G. Gray, J. Jillett. A further resolution was carried that the Committee canvas for members willing to join, and hand in the names of subscriptions at the next meeting to be held on Tuesday, 20th December, at the Post Office Hotel, at 8 p m. It was proposed to bold a scratch match on Boxing Day. A vote of thanks to the chair, and also to Mr Gray for use of bis room concluded the meeting.
