1 SPECIAL MEETING. A special ‘meeting of the above body was held at the Library Rooms last evening to consider plans and specifications submitted, in connection with Nos. 2 and 6 lines. Present —His Worship, the Mayor (Mr G. A. Simpson), Cra Gower, Raker, Stiles, Coley, Spelman* Austin, Spiers, and Symons. The Council went into Committee te.QOgsidcr the subject before them, and as a result the following motion was carried :—Proposed by CrGower, seconded by Cr Baker, That tenders' be called tor forming and metalling •’■No&Chßd 6 : HnfesT Tenders to be adWrtised in Marton, Feildirig,’Levin, Palmerston, and the local paper. Tenors'to be in by-Deis. xath. Plans and specifications can be inspected at both Palmerston and Foxton.
