Foxton School Committee.
The above Committee held their usual monthly meeting on Thursday night at the Council Chambers, when there were present:—Messrs Ai. D. Clemeti (chairman), S. H. Baker, C. L. Barnard, G. Coley, Rev. Wilson, H. Bradcock, and F. Jenks. ; The’hiinutes ofthe previous meeting were read and confirmed, and the usual correspondence was dealt with. . Accounts were passed for payment. The teachers report complained of the low average in school attendances, due to the unsettled weather of late and sickness. A long discussion took place on the matteri -of tborough'drainagfroi the school-groupd, dfid a sub-committee was-appoibted fo go inter the matter and report fully at the next monthly meetings Surprise was expressed at the secretary's letter re building renovations being ignored by the Board. Other business was transacted and the meeting closed.
