Foxton Athletic Club.
A meeting of the above Club was held last night at Mr Lovett's Hotel. His Worship the Mayor (Mr G. Simp son) occupied the chair. Mr Walden’s tender of £i for side show on the sports’ ground was accepted. Messrs J. Frew, E. Dunn, and J. Jillett were given charge of the children’s races, for which Mir C. Easton donated £3 2s, The Mayor also donated £1 for the same purpose. A vote of thanks to the chair and to Mr Levett for use of the room, concluded the meeting.
