Foxton Athletic Club.
A meeting of’the above ;Club was held at Mr Haywood’s Hotel; Mr L. Furrie being in the chair; A letter was received from the Traffic Manager informing the Club that a special train would leave Feilding at g a.m. and Palmerston at 9.55 a.m, arriving at Foxton at xi.2o, and returning at 6.20. A donation of a St. Louis Albert from Mr S. Bloustein was received with thanks. Mr George Coley also forwarded a handsome silver cup, Messrs Patterson and Co. a cheque for a guinea, and .also £ a clock from Briscoe, McNeil, and Co. It was decided that an extra race beput on the programme, to provide for the above contributions',' The race is to be a 120 Yards Sheffield‘ Handicap called Coley’s Sheffield : ist prize, Mr G. Coley’s Cup: 2nd, Briscoe arid McNeil’s special; 3rd, Mr S. Blous.tein’s special.
