The Foxton footballers were badly beaten by the Wanderers at Levin on Saturday last by 2i i to 6. For the winners, Winiata (2), Allen (2), Taburi (3), scored tries, two of which were converted. Barker, of Levin, scored both the Foxton tries. It is probable that a return match will be played at Foxton on Saturday next, when Barker will be found playing among the Wanderers. Moutoa and Motuitl try conclusions on the Racecourse to-morrow afternoon at 2.30. Admission 6d. The following team has been chosen to represent Foxton on Saturday next against Wanderers Full-back, Fred. Robinson; three-quarters, W. Coley, P. Robinson, Tua Napier; five-eight D. Tatana (captain); half, T. Napier; wings, J. Joe, W. Robinson; forwards, Desmond, Curtis, Jefferies, Hooker, Peter Reihana, B. Brown, Jas. Coley. Emergency : Back, Louisson, Lawyer, J. Presling; forwards, J. Lee, J. Jillett, S. Wright. Any of the above team unable to attend please inform the secretary.
