Lucky Gold-miners.
ENORMOUSLY RICH REEF FOUND. A party of miners working onTributers’ Reward Extended leases at Southern Cross (about thirty-five miles south of Golden Valley and 337 miles east of Perth) struck a phenomenal reef at a depth of 18ft. It is believed the find exceeds that of the famous Londonderry “ pocket.” Reports are to hand that experts consider the stone will produce three thousand ounces of gold to the ton.
