The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Company Report. At Himatangi on the 19th inst. there was a heavy yarding of cattle of good quality in fair condition. There was a good attendance of the public, and although the bulk of the yarding was quitted, there was a considerable decline in values, more particularly noticeable in young cattle and backward dairy sorts. The shorthorn yearling steers on behalf of Mr H. Barber realised £3 7s 6d- We quote— Sheep—Hoggets 18s 4d, cull wethers 14s lOd. Cattle—Weaners 22s to 365, yearling £2 to £2 7s, yearling steers (good Shorthorn) £3 7s 6d, 18mos steers £3 7s 6d, 2yr steers £3 18s to £4 5s 6d, Syr steers £5 7s 6d, heifers in calf (small) £2 16s to £8 15s, store cows £3 2s 6d, fat cows £5 10v springing cows £6, balls £2 to £2 6a.
