Football.

An interesting game will take place on the racecourse on Saturday next between Huia and Kiwi. The Foxton “ Old Boys ” defeated 'Shannon at football yesterday afternoon by li to nil. Tries were scored by W. Cook, W. Coley and F. Whibley, one of which B. Shadbolt converted. Mr Frew refereed. After the game both teams dined together at Laing’s Hotel. Later in the evening the Shannon team attended the Rugby Union concert.
